The Best Weekend of Racing Returns to Tri-City Raceway – The 2025 Fall Classic

West Richland, WA – 9.29.2025 – The crown jewel of West Coast stock car racing roars back to life as Tri-City Raceway hosts the 2025 Fall Classic, presented by Desert Food Mart and Cougar Cave Cafe, on October 4th and 5th.

Known as “The Best Weekend of Racing,” the Fall Classic is the biggest short track racing event on the West Coast, drawing the most talented drivers, the largest fields, and the fiercest competition fans will see all year. This two-day motorsports spectacular delivers legendary battles, heart-pounding action, and unforgettable moments under the lights on the Tricky Trioval.

“The Fall Classic is not just a race; it’s the heartbeat of West Coast short track racing,” said Greg Walden, promoter of Tri-City Raceway and CEO of Speedway Promotions LLC. “We’re expecting more than 130 competitors in 2025, with drivers traveling from Arizona, Utah, Oregon, Idaho, California, and even Canada. This race is where legends are made, and the energy when fans step through those gates is unlike anything else in motorsports.”

Sunday, October 5th – SUPER SUNDAY
The Fall Classic 200 – $10,000 to WIN

• Featuring the elite competitors of the Northwest Super Late Model Series (NWSLMS), Hobby Stocks & NW Vintage Mod Open
• Gates open at 10:00 AM
• Racing begins at 1:00 PM

With multiple divisions including Super Late Models, Pro Late Models, Hobby Stocks, and Mini Stocks, & NW Vintage Modifieds - this event offers two full days of door-to-door racing and championship-caliber excitement as drivers battle for victory and their place in racing history.

The Fall Classic — Where Legends Are Made

The Fall Classic 200 isn’t just a race — it’s 200 laps of pure, relentless battle for $10,000 to win and the ultimate prize: a permanent place in the history books.


Since Pete Harding’s first win in 1988, the Fall Classic has been the proving ground where the best rise to the top. Over the decades, icons like Ron Eaton, Garrett Evans, Naima Lang, Jason Fraser, and Joey Tanner have all conquered the Tricky Trioval, cementing their status as short track legends.

In 2023, Evan Goetz shocked the field as the youngest winner ever, while Kasey Kleyn captured the crown in 2024, setting the stage for another epic showdown in 2025.
