55th Running of the Bonneys TYM Tractors APPLE CUP presented by Legends Casino Kicks Off Pacific Northwest Racing Season [West Richland, WA] at the Nations Fastest 1/2 mile trioval– The excitement is building as the Pacific Northwest gears up for the 55th Running Apple Cup, the highly anticipated season opener for the West Coast's race scene. Scheduled for April 6-7th, the race weekend kicks off with private testing on April 5th, followed by open practice and media day on April 6th. 

The main racing events commence on Saturday, April 6th, featuring the Northwest Prolate Model with a thrilling $5000.00 to win, alongside the Bettarel Hobby Stocks and NW Vintage Modifieds. Sunday, April 7th, promises even more adrenaline-pumping action with the Northwest Super Late Model Series Pollock 125, offering an impressive $10,000 to Win. The day also includes competitions in Bettarel Hobby Stocks and MiniStocks. Don't miss your chance to witness the high-speed excitement! About Tri-City Raceway

The Iconic paved 1/2 mile tri oval is located @ the base of Red Mountain in West Richland, WA. Built by the Rector family in 1968, the architectural design was to represent the three cities. Shortly after its opening, it rapidly became a destination racetrack. Tri-City Raceway is the only 1/2 mile paved trioval left in North America and is notorious for its speed, uniqueness and prestige. It was closed down in 2004 for 17 years and was reopened in 2021 as a premium stock car race venue holding  2-3 premium nascar style races per year.
​Located inside of Red Mountain Event Center, TCR @ RMEC is the home of sand and sage sports car club, Speedway Promotions -Apple Cup and Fall Classic and premium motorsports events.

(FORMEC) is a non-proit organization @ Red Mountain Event Center with a singular focus on promoting economic development in our region. Our dedicated team of visionaries has worked tirelessly to build an exceptional facility from the ground up, resulting in the nationally recognized Tri-City Raceway powered by Toyota .

As the Nation's only 1/2 mile paved Trioval racetrack, Tri-City Raceway has become a magnet for competitors and fans alike, drawing individuals from all across the country.

In Memory of Ted Pollock - Jan 22, 1934 - Dec 8th, 2023

The Apple Cup was originated at Yakima Speedway (Yakima, WA).Ted Pollock was one of the men that helped play apart of the legacy of this race. In 1956, Ted and his first wife, Rose Pollock, moved to Portland, OR. Together they had three children. Ted owned and operated Pollock Motors and Yakima Speedway in Yakima, WA, for over 50 years. The speedway was selected as the first Pacific Northwest sanctioned NASCAR facility. Ted promoted Evel Knievel for 17 jumps. Evel began his early career at Yakima Speedway. 

​Ted is survived by his second wife, Cathie Pollock; his children, Lori, Shari Persen and Tom Pollock; and two stepchildren, Paul Hermanson and Audrey (James) Quinn. His siblings, Margo Ferrance, Dorothy Prindiville, Judy (Curt) Peterson, Pat (Larry) Schulze, Linda (Daryl) Hill, and David (Jackie) Pollock also survive him. He also leaves his grandchildren, Nichole (Rick) Kersey, Andrew (Becca) Persen, Joe (Priscilla), Katie (Carson), and Eden Pollock; six great-grandchildren with two more on the way; and many nieces and nephews.
